Federation Square, Melbourne

Award-winning outdoor furniture, graphic design and custom illustrations for Federation Square's Outdoor Comfort Zones. The commission included commercial deckchairs, director's chairs, market umbrellas, bench pads, signage and furniture storage units, featuring custom-designed Australian wildflower patterns. Winner of the Melbourne Design Award for Graphic Design in the Environment.

Kin Kin Hotel, Noosa Hinterland

Established in 1914, the Kin Kin Hotel is a historic bush pub in Queensland's Noosa Hinterland. Falinc sourced premium Sunbrella canvas and manufactured custom commercial deckchairs in sage green and white stripes, alongside coordinating director's chairs in solid sage green, creating relaxed outdoor seating that complements the hotel's heritage character.

Bunjil Place, Narre Warren

Falinc created original illustrations and custom director's chairs exclusively for Bunjil Place, Melbourne's landmark arts and cultural centre. Inspired by native flora we photographed on site, we developed The Bunjil Place Native Garden collection, transforming the distinctive features of each flower into bold geometric illustrations and vibrant, continuous patterns across the chairs. The result is a colourful celebration of the local landscape, bringing a unique sense of place to Bunjil Place's outdoor plaza.

Monash University, Peninsula

Creating inviting outdoor spaces is part of campus life at Monash University's leafy Peninsula campus. Falinc brought the university's branding outdoors with Australian-made commercial deck chairs and market umbrellas, featuring crisp white branding on sophisticated grey pinstripe canvas. Our purpose-built outdoor furniture storage units, finished in shimmering gunmetal grey, provide secure overnight storage for the deckchairs and umbrellas. Together, the collection combines custom-branded outdoor furniture, considered design and practical functionality to enhance the campus experience.

South Bank Corporation, Brisbane

Where lush parklands meet Brisbane's vibrant inner city, South Bank inspired a colourful collection of custom commercial deckchairs. Following a site visit, Falinc created two original illustration designs, Parkscape and Streetscape, drawing on the relationship between landscaped gardens and urban architecture. The artwork was complemented by Falinc's durable, stable timber deckchair design, developed for high-use public spaces.

Parks Victoria

A new way to experience Victoria's national parks. Falinc's Australian-made commercial deckchairs and coordinating director's chairs were selected for Parks Victoria's CANOPY initiative, featuring sustainably built accommodation pods designed to connect visitors with nature. Featuring our original Billy Button illustration in burnt orange from the Australian Wildflower Design Series, the outdoor furniture brings a distinctive Australian character to this innovative project.

Multiplex for Monash Docklands, Melbourne

Who says deckchairs are just for outdoors? Falinc created custom commercial deckchairs for student breakout spaces at Monash University's Docklands campus in Melbourne, as part of a major upgrade by Multiplex. Upholstered in olive green fire-retardant canvas sourced to meet the project's Australian fire safety requirements, the chairs required specialist sewing techniques to achieve the quality and finish expected of Falinc.

Dreamworld, Gold Coast

A splash of colour for Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, where even the tigers have a thing for stripes! Falinc manufactured Australian-made commercial deckchairs in five vibrant, French-inspired striped colourways to complement the whimsical bathing box setting. Designed for busy public spaces, our timber deckchairs feature reinforced frames, thicker and wider timber struts and robust fixings, combining durability with relaxed outdoor comfort.

SWD Legal, Port Fairy

Inspired by the coastal charm and lively festival atmosphere of Port Fairy, Falinc created original Marine Life illustrations for a collection of custom commercial deckchairs commissioned by SWD Legal. The colourful canvas designs celebrate the town's seaside character, bringing a playful sense of place to our durable, Australian-made timber deckchairs, designed for the demands of outdoor use.

University of Canberra

A bold splash of colour for the University of Canberra! Falinc created two original striped designs for custom commercial deckchairs, extending the university's corporate colour palette into vibrant gradients that reinforce its brand identity. Designed and manufactured for versatile outdoor use, the deckchairs provide comfortable seating for campus events while bringing a striking, colourful presence to university life.

Central Park, Sydney

A fresh take on the traditional deckchair stripe for Sydney's landmark Central Park development. To celebrate the completion of this ambitious urban renewal project, Falinc designed and produced custom deckchair slings for the launch. Drawing on Central Park's brand colour palette, the contemporary striped designs reflect the spirit of renewal at this distinctive inner-city destination.

Optus Centre HQ, Sydney

A splash of colour among the lush landscaped grounds of Optus Centre's Sydney headquarters. Falinc's commercial deckchairs bring together original illustrations from our Australian Wildflower and Scapes collections, including Billy Button, Gumnut, Vine, Parkscape and Streetscape. Selected in a variety of designs and colourways, the chairs create inviting outdoor spaces for employees to relax and enjoy their surroundings.

CfAT, alice springs

A collaboration celebrating Central Australian Aboriginal art and design. Falinc worked with the Aboriginal-controlled Centre for Appropriate Technology in Alice Springs to produce custom deckchair and camp stool slings featuring original artworks by Aboriginal artists. Among the designs is Awelye ceremonies by Rachael Nambula, whose intricate artwork depicts the pencil yam, an important traditional food source in Central Australia.

Marimekko

Bold Finnish design meets Melbourne's iconic Brighton bathing boxes. Falinc's Australian-made deckchairs and coordinating director's chairs feature Joonas, a striking Marimekko textile designed by Maija Isola in 1961, inspired by sunlight reflecting on the Mediterranean Sea. The collection celebrates our love of colour, original design and beautifully crafted outdoor furniture, bringing a distinctive Scandinavian flair to the Australian coastline.
